The medician is a magician.

I thought I was going to die but no such luck.

But having glimpsed the darkness

I am surprised how light it is.

Cold wind; cold moon; cold month.

Lonely autumn; harvest time.

I always figured that if I lowered my standards I could have anything I wanted but avarice runs strong in my veins and coming from the dark corner of town I have tried to hoist myself up by my boot straps which reminds me of the story about the cobbler who had ambitions to be a milliner but his family insisted people like him had no right to go up in the world.

Oh, one more sip and I’ll be done.

Dear Samantha, if that’s your name, are you the fist wrapped around the body of the snake or the stone at the heart of the stone? I’m worried because your hair is falling out. Or is it mine? Yesterday I fell from the quayside into the harbour and was only saved by the outstretched helping hand of the idiot boy, and in the nick of time! I cannot swim, nor can I tell the difference between sarcasm and out-and-out cruelty.

Please don’t tell anyone all the things you know about me.
