A pile of sticks may be a sign of magpies building a nest. Or it might be just a pile of sticks.
I am leaning against a signpost that points toward the outside of town.
I have always been so inclined.

Rhyming couplets, decasyllabics, innovative poetics –
sometimes all you want is a good old steak and kidney pie with lashings of thick gravy.
It’s a metaphor, I think. But perhaps not a good one.
